Curriculum

High Reach Learning:

The Whole Child Learning Center has designed each program in accordance with High Reach Learning Curriculum. This curriculum is designed to meet NAEYC accreditation requirements.

High Reach Learning Corporate Goals & Mission Statement Our goals at High Reach Learning are:

To provide quality lesson plans for teachers so they have more time to teach.
To develop consistency within the center/school - teacher-to-teacher, day-to-day, year to year.
To develop products that promote creativity among teachers and children.
To provide a balanced program that addresses the whole child - social, emotional, physical, and intellectual.

High Reach Learning Mission Statement:
High Reach Learning, Inc. is committed to creating high-quality, developmentally appropriate learning materials that allow teachers to easily facilitate a creative, integrated, hands-on learning experience for the whole child. Our goal is to enhance the development of readiness skills, encourage a love for learning, and promote family involvement in the learning process.

Program Philosophy
All High Reach Learning curriculum programs are based on the philosophy that children learn best through hands-on activities that address the needs of the whole child. In addition, each High Reach Learning program reflects the belief that children need a balance of child-initiated and teacher-facilitated activities each day. This approach is grounded in sound child development theory and appropriate practices. Themes are used to introduce information and learning takes place as a child explores and manipulates real objects and events.

Library / Computer Room:

A separate library is available that offers quiet time for reading, listening centers, and computers. All children will have designated library/computer time with their teachers throughout the week.

Lunch Room

A separate lunchroom is located in the school that allows children the opportunity to socialize with their friends or siblings in other classrooms.

Hours Of Operation

We are open from 6:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. We will be offering different schedules so that families will receive more individualized attention upon dropping off and picking up their children. This allows us the opportunity to accommodate different family needs. The following programs are available:

2, 3, 4, or 5 Day Programs
7:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Communication

Parents who enroll their child at The Whole Child Learning Center, Inc. are encouraged to visit at any time. There are many opportunities to participate in your child's learning experience. All parents will receive a daily sheet filled with information about their child's day. This is a great family tool to use with your child to encourage communication.
